the neon khaki

shirt: joe fresh // pants: gap // shoes: aldo // sunglasses: ray-ban // watch: michael kors

One of many things I love about summer is the fact that neons are an acceptable colour. Maybe it's the 90's child in me, but there is just something so flattering and fun about neons. Although it can definitely be overdone, the key to pulling off the highlighter trend is to do it in moderation.
A favourite of mine is pairing it with chambray, chambray just seems to be one of those magical items that goes with everything!

In other news, the boyfriend and I are taking a road trip to Seattle & Vancouver starting Saturday and I cannot wait. I'm hoping I survive the very long drive, I'm horrible with long road trips mainly for my short attention span and queasy stomach. I've never been to Seattle, but I've heard amazing things. Anywhere that has amazing food and ahem.. COFFEE is great to me. I'm also looking forward to spending some quality time in Vancouver. The last time I went, I was only there for 24 hours, definitely not enough time to explore!
If anyone has some suggestions of restaurants/things to do I'd really appreciate it!

Happy Monday!

  16. Oh cute! I love the patterned chambray for a little twist :) I live near Seattle & have a ton of ideas for you. You've probably heard it a million times but Pike Place Market is a must. The first Starbucks is there & this place called Piroshky, Piroshky that has the most amazing salmon perogies. The Seattle Art Museum is excellent & there's always shows at the Paramount & 5th Avenue Theater (which is also right near the shopping district). If you like seafood, the Crab Pot. Definitely. But if you're just craving a cheap, delicious, terrible-for-you burger, Dick's Drive In.

Jeeze, I said a lot. I just love my Seattle :) Hope you have a great time.
