it's all in the details

I had a completely different outfit in mind prior to this outfit post.

I had worn a pretty dress all day at work and thought it would be perfect for the blog.

The only problem is, I was given the afternoon off (my boss tends to let me go home early when it's hot outside haha) and when I got home I immediately changed into a bathing suit and sat outside to tan these "I've lived in cold Alberta for far too long" white legs.

Now I know what you're thinking, "girl that is NOT a problem" but it sure was for my outfit plans. When I got back inside all I wanted to reach for were comfortable items and not the dress. I went for my boyfriends tshirt that shrunk and some athletic looking shorts. 

To elevate this outfit from a simple sitting at home look to a more going out one was all in the details. I went with my trusty hat from Gap and my bold necklace from Banana Republic. Seriously, this necklace makes any outfit more interesting! Add some heels and you are good to go!
