fall layering

After spending a few hours purging my closet of all the clothes I didn't want anymore (I currently have two huge garbage bags full to give away) I realized I still had a ton of pieces that needed more love. What's one of those pieces? This black dress from Joe Fresh. I loved it so much I also got it in green (seen here). Although it's more of a summer dress I gave it a new life by layering a sweater over it... and poof! it's a midi skirt!

Also I think this is the year of "Mel wearing hats". Seriously, I can't get over them! I have quite the collection now but this bargain from Old Navy is still one of my faves.
