blouse: h&m (green sold out online but same one in different colour below) // pants: club monaco // heels: zara
It occurred to me the other day that I haven't been taking a lot of fashion risks as of late.
I've been really loving neutral things lately and following the philosophy of "less is more". If you've followed me for a while, my style has most definitely evolved and I think for the better. I used to be into over accessorizing, mixing prints like a LOCA and kind of throwing too many trends together.
Don't get me wrong, I love me some trends. I mean, how many times have I worn an off the shoulder top? (I'm not over it btw). This outfit I would say is taking a few risks. The ruffle trend and the wide pant/culotte trend. I got this top on the first day that H&M introduced online shopping and wasn't sure if I would like it or not and turns out I LOVED it! These pants caught my eye for a while and I finally took the plunge. I will admit that yes, they need some hemming as I'm a short girl but hey I was too excited to wait! They will look even better once we chop off a bit ;) I absolutely love the colours together, at first I wasn't sure if it would work but I love the contrast!
What do you think of the ruffle trend? Do you like it? I'd love to know! I love it, it's so romantic and chic!
