Travel: The City of Angels

Sorry for the picture overload but I couldn't help but share lots of photos of our recent long weekend trip to Los Angeles!
For as long as I could remember, I have ALWAYS wanted to go to LA. admittedly I am slightly celebrity obsessed (Dailymail everyday) but it just always looked so great. What's not to love? hot weather, palm trees, amazing food?

My expectations of LA were far surpassed the moment we got there. We did Airbnb for the first time which really scared me but it turned out to be so great! We rented the cutest 1930's guest house in the greatest location. If you're ever looking to go to LA I can definitely recommend the place we stayed!

Anyways, we were only there from Friday-Monday and I feel like we did so much with the little time that we had. We got in on Friday evening and decided to hit up a taqueria I heard lots about and it turned out to be AMAZING! We loved it so much that we went again! We also went to the Grove which was of course a must since I wanted to do a little bit of shopping. Saturday, we went to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and realized that my all time favourite actor Jim Carrey doesnt have a star... um WHAT? So sad about that. We then hit up Santa Monica and Venice beach which were both so great. Sadly it was a tad chilly to wear a bathing suit but it was worth just stepping on sand! We also tried Lemonade which I've seen on countless blogger's Instas... and it was AMAZING. Seriously guys, their food is the bomb.com!  We then went to Sotto for dinner with a last minute reservation too... I couldn't believe we got in! It had some of the best meatballs I've ever had!
On Sunday we did a hike on Runyon Canyon, which if you didn't know is a short hike that boasts amazing views of LA and is quite the celebrity favourite. Sadly, I didn't see any celebs but lots of cute dogs! haha We then went to get more tacos (naturally) and went to Griffith Observatory. I loved Griffith but if I could redo it I would go on a weekday as it was PACKED with tourists and I was getting a tad claustrophobic. It was totally worth it though! We were so exhausted that evening that we got In n' Out and waited for about a half hour in the drive thru for it. It's absolutely essential to get that when you're in Cali! It's so bad for you but SO good!
Lastly, Monday, we woke up early and walked around Melrose and Joan's on Third... it was SO good!
My overall verdict? I can totally see why LA bloggers are so happy!

Oh boy, that was a lot! I've listed what we ate and what we did because it was seriously so much for only the weekend! I can't wait to go back and explore more :)

  1. Glad you two had a nice time! I love L.A., too. Next time you need to drive the Pacific Coast Highway and go to Malibu and Santa Barbara, it's beautiful there and not too far from L.A.!
