oh hello there Jasper!

On our way
Beautiful Downtown Jasper, Alberta
my friend Grizzly
Cutest Boutique in town! There was so much I wanted to buy but I had to resist

Over the Easter long weekend my boyfriend and I took a trip to Jasper which is about 2 hours away from where we live. One advantage to living in rural Alberta is that it is so close to the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The pictures truly do not do them justice, the first time you seem them literally will take your breath away. I finally understand my friends from Alberta and BC who were missing the mountains while studying in Ontario.
I am not an "outdoorsy" sports kind of girl so just walking around town, browsing and having a fabulous lunch is my kind of day.
We did want to take the gondola to the top of the mountains but it was unfortunately closed that day for snow clean up.
I had to take a picture of the "Caribou crossing" sign because there are so many around us that it is as common as a stop sign. On the way to Jasper I saw a family of mountain goats as well as some deer. I've only seen a bear and a moose once each but I'm still on the look out!
If you have the opportunity to come to Alberta and visit Jasper I highly recommend it!
Banff is gorgeous as well! I can't wait to go in the summer when its a tad warmer.

Have any of you been to Jasper? Any places you suggest to eat/shop?
