add a headband

headband: urban outfitters // turtleneck: zara // pants: club monaco // boots: club monaco (old) // bag: c/o banana republic // earrings: simons

It's taken me almost 31 years to get on the headband train and I finally have.
I'm not going to lie, I was heavily influenced by one of my favourite bloggers, Emily Schuman from Cupcakes and Cashmere. She's been rocking some beautiful ones from Jennifer Behr and I immediately became obsessed. Upon further research, the Jennifer Behr one's are just a tad out of my budget but I do plan on eventually buying one for whenever I get married or for a special event. Anywho, I did find a cheaper alternative at Urban Outfitters and it's BEAUTIFUL! I mean, I know it's not everyones cup of tea or a man's cup of tea to be more specific hahaha but I love it!

Adding a headband just elevates your outfit and gives it the extra oomf that it needs. I like the idea of the headband not matching your outfit, it's just more exciting that way! I think it can be equally as cute on a super casual outfit in the summer as well. I'm just picturing some cute boyfriend jeans, a flowy white top and the headband and strappy sandals, easy and chic. I also bought a plaid one and I can't wait to wear it!

What do you think of headbands? Do you like the idea of them? I've added my exact one and some inexpensive headbands that I love below... they're all under $20!
